Blogging about "Stuff"

What kind of stuff? Any kind of stuff. Stuff is stuff. Mostly stuff I want to blog about. You know...Stuff.

One of my favorite comedy routines is George Carlin on Stuff. Even years after I heard it I still laugh when I think about it. George and I are on different planets when it comes to most things political and social but I do like his perspective on Stuff. George is a funny guy.

As long as I had to have a "blogging page" anyway, you may find it useful to learn about blogs too.

A Blog is a "Web log" hence the name "blog". It's an ugly word. Lot's of people hate it. I'm not fond of it myself but it's too late to do anything about it now.

Blogs are popular because they tend to offer the freshest information. Search engines like blogs because of this. Marketers like to use anything search engines like so you tend to see a lot of blogs geared toward selling stuff.

Individuals like blogs because they are easy to use and can be a "soapbox" for whatever someone has on their mind. Imagine if you will a planet where anyone can start their own newspaper in 5 minutes or less. Well, Wordpress, one of the most popular blogging tools out there claims a "famous 5 minute install". It is pretty fast.

People seem to like reading blogs too. Blogs tend to be more "friendly" than web pages. Since most can be set up with little fuss, folks can just start a blog and not worry about anything else.
